1 · Testimonials — what they are, what they aren't

The testimonials on testimonials.html and the testimonial strips on each module page are anonymous samples in the format: first name + age + city + job + before/after + quote + verified purchase marker. Names are changed at request for discretion.

What they ARE:

• Reports from individual students who completed the drills in the modules;
• Cross-referenced with the published research cited in each module (so the testimonials align with the research, not contradict it);
• Given in exchange for free beta access during the curriculum's beta period — disclosed as such, per FTC Endorsement Guides 16 CFR Part 255;
• Anonymized (first name only, name changed at request) to protect student privacy.

What they AREN'T:

• Not guaranteed outcomes. Individual results vary. The drills work if you do them; they don't work if you don't. A testimonial saying "47 matches in 30 days" is that student's report, not a guarantee you'll get 47 matches in 30 days.
• Not scientifically validated studies. They're reports, not controlled studies with control groups, blinding, and statistical significance. We don't represent them as such.
• Not paid testimonials. We never pay for fake testimonials. Beta-access-in-exchange-for-feedback is disclosed as such.
• Not endorsements of any specific result. The testimonials endorse the methodology (drills codified from published research), not a specific outcome (47 matches, 11 numbers, etc.).

For deployment: Before going live, replace the beta-access testimonials with real student feedback as it comes in. The placeholder testimonials in data/testimonials.json are written to be compliant in format (anonymous, no specific outcome guaranteed, beta access disclosed) — but they're not real external student reports until you collect them. Don't pass them off as real external students. The FTC calls that "false endorsement" — 16 CFR Part 255.3.

2 · Research citations — public sources, not endorsements

Each module page cites published research inline — Gottman Institute, Esther Perel, Olivia Fox Cabane, Art of Charm, Teichmann et al. 2025, Hinge Labs, Tinder + SwipeStats, American Academy of Dermatology, Byrdie, Coffee Meets Bagel, Debrett's, Allan Pease. These citations are public official sources.

• We cite the research; we don't own it. Copyright in the cited research belongs to the respective authors and institutions.
• Citation is not endorsement. Gottman Institute doesn't endorse MCA. Perel doesn't endorse MCA. Cabane doesn't endorse MCA. We operationalize their published research into drills; they don't endorse our operationalization.
• The research supports the methods, not individual outcomes. Gottman's 5:1 ratio supports Module 8's rhythm; it doesn't guarantee your marriage will improve. Teichmann's next-morning text supports Module 7's golden window; it doesn't guarantee your second date will convert.
• Research citations are inline, not hidden. Click any module and scroll — the citations are at the section, at the paragraph, at the stat. We don't hide the research; we don't misrepresent what it says.

3 · Module 8 — adult content age gate

Module 8 (Intimate Sanctuary) contains adult content — bedroom atmosphere, communication rituals, intimacy escalation. Module 8 is age-gated to 18+ regardless of your region's age of digital consent:

• US COPPA age of digital consent: 13 — Module 8 still requires 18+;
• EU GDPR Art. 8 age of digital consent: 16 — Module 8 still requires 18+;
• China PIPL minor threshold: 14 — Module 8 still requires 18+;
• Module 8 content is educational (Gottman + Perel codified), not pornographic — but it discusses adult intimacy frankly. 18+ only.

Module 8 is consensual. The Perel permission model (desire requires permission, space, autonomy) and the Gottman Sound Relationship House (atmosphere + repair) govern Module 8. Non-consensual escalation is not taught, not tolerated, not part of MCA. The escalation bridge in Module 7 (each rung earns the next) requires affirmative consent at each rung — skip a rung and she freezes; that's the signal to stop, not push.

5 · What the curriculum is — and isn't

• It IS educational. Drills, scripts, protocols, case studies — codified from published research.
• It IS NOT medical or psychological treatment. If you have clinical anxiety, depression, trauma, or a relationship crisis, see a licensed professional — not a dating course.
• It IS NOT a guarantee of outcome. The drills work if you do them; they don't work if you don't. We don't guarantee matches, numbers, dates, or relationships.
• It IS NOT a replacement for therapy. Module 6 (Mindset) covers abundance vs scarcity mindset — that's charisma training, not therapy for clinical conditions.
• It IS NOT consent training. Module 7 (Escalation) and Module 8 (Intimacy) require affirmative consent at each escalation rung. Non-consensual escalation is not taught, not tolerated.

6 · Third-party services

MCA uses Stripe (international payments), Alipay (China payments), and Puter.com (AI Tutor via Claude API). Each has its own terms and privacy policy — we link to them where relevant. We're not liable for their changes to terms, outages, or data practices. Don't put sensitive info in your AI Tutor prompts — they're sent to Puter.com, not stored on our server, but they're not private to us either.

7 · Testimonial removal

If you gave a testimonial in exchange for free beta access and want it removed, email privacy@mca-example.com (placeholder — replace before deployment) with "Testimonial removal" in the subject. We'll remove it within 30 days. You don't need to give a reason.
